today I read a most wonderful post over at 

My Black Book 

(a very beautiful daily snoop of mine)

and was introduced to the work of pop artist

aren't his collections just so wonderful?

I am constantly trying to stop myself 

from collecting yet more 'things',

but these images make me think perhaps it's not such a bad idea.

"I began my collecting when I started in the Junior Art Department at Gravesend School of Art when I was 14. There was a junkyard next to the station and on my first visit I bought a set of leather-bound Shakespeare, a papier maché tray and a painting of the Queen Mary that happened to be a kind of outsider art, and it all started from there."

instead, this year, I have given myself the gift of this mantra

towards the silence that leaves us bewildered.
